Title Wave
Hey, y’all.
In the last post, I invited folks to a record fair in Toronto where I’d be selling stuff including Buck 65 crap. Guess that happened… I was overwhelmed with requests from all over the world to send stuff in the mail. And most people are looking for super-rare cassettes like Henry Krinkle and Year Zero and whatnot. It has left me a bit unsure about what I should do.
The best I’ve come up with so far is this: finish doing a complete inventory, price stuff and then make things (physical copies) available for sale (probably on Bandcamp). So be on the lookout. I’ll be quietly making things (including rarities) available for sale here and there over the coming months. And be forewarned that some things could be quite pricey.
By the way, this post is a second draft. The first draft was much longer and much more boring. I wrote at length about how the meager stash of records (and other stuff) I have in my basement is the only security net I have left and blah-blah, woe is me… I’m sparing you the grief here.
It’s good to be back where I belong - as a 100% independent ‘artist’. But there are times when I’m reminded of how easy I had it when there was a team backing me up and taking care of the administrative stuff. I’m pretty useless when it comes to that. And as I’ve said many times lately, I just don’t have the time. On any given day lately, I look for a chance to spend 15 minutes down in the basement and getting things organized. I’m lucky if that happens two or three times in a week. The best I can do is chip away.
Aside from the inventory/business side of things, I’m working on ideas for other posts here. I bore myself by talking about business stuff like this. An old friend passed away recently and there are thoughts I’ve been wanting to share. Hopefully I can get to that and other ideas soon.
Until the next.
