Likeable movies for your viewing pleasure
I used to talk about movies all the time. Not as much these days. I don’t have the time to watch movies that I used to. But I still consider myself a movie guy.
You ever see those videos on IG or whatever where actors are asked by someone from Letterboxd to name their four favorite movies? I challenged myself to come up with a list like that the other day. But I didn’t allow myself to think about it. I tried to imagine myself being ambushed and asked that question when I wasn’t expecting it and this is what I came up with:

There are probably movies that I didn’t click ‘like’ on but should have. But these are the ones that I enjoyed enough that I felt compelled to ‘like’. I don’t know what it says but it must say something. I guess these are my favorite movies. I like that it’s a wide mix of stuff. Plenty of lowbrow stuff to go with the highfalutin ones. The last movie I watched was One Battle After Another, which I quite liked but I suppose I need to sit with it for a while to decide if it gets a ‘like’. I don’t go clicking on that heart icon all willy-nilly. It’s a high bar.
That’s it. If you haven’t seen any of the movies on the list, you can consider them recommendations. I definitely really, really love all of these movies.
