Fingers To The Bone
Yes, y’all.
Started a new job a few weeks ago. It’s even more demanding than I expected it would be. It’s been tricky to find the time eat let alone anything else. It’ll take some time to get the hang of things but I’ll get there. I’ve been trying to find time to prepare masters for vinyl for the two albums I finished recently. Hopefully I can get that done in the next week or so and the ball will be rolling. As it stands, it seems to take at least six months to turn vinyl orders around these days. So if all goes according to plan and I can get everything ready soon, the first of the albums should be ready for release in September or October. I wish things were quicker but it is what it is. I’ll keep you up to date as things progress.
Question for the room… This may sound random but does anyone here happen to recall a time years ago when I was in NYC to play a show and I had a freak accident in the batting cage at Chelsea Piers? I hit a ball that deflected off a post and then it bounced back and hit me square in the chest. It hurt so bad that I had to refuse any and all offers for hugs. Does that sound familiar? I’m pretty sure I remember telling the story on stage. I played a lot of shows at the Bowery Ballroom over the years but I don’t think that’s where I played this particular time. I think maybe it was a different spot on the LES. I can’t remember the name of the place though. Was I on tour with Sage? Maybe? I can’t remember. I could be wrong about the details of the show and they’re not really important anyway. I’m trying to remember when the thing at Chelsea Piers happened and I’m hoping one of y’all can help me. Does that story ring a bell at all? If so, message me on IG or whatever.
Now check this out. My homie Awol One - the underground rap legend and graphic design wizard - has designed a dope-ass Buck 65 shirt (sweatshirt and tee). It’s being launched tomorrow. Supplies will be limited so get yours while the going is good. To find it, I advise following Awol on IG or visiting his web store - here. My hope is that they’ll sell out fast and that making them is the best business decision Awol ever made. Let’s do this! Take look at these beauties…
And finally - a very special and insanely dope remix of the “Many Headed” posse cut (Doseone, Mestizo, Self Jupiter, Aesop Rock and myself) is dropping on the 19th of April. Be on the lookout for that. It’s going to blow your mind. I’ll be sure to post a link on Instagram and such.
Oh, and in case you missed it on IG, test presses for Punk Rock B-Boy vinyl came in a little over a month ago. So we’ll have the real-deal vinyl soon. If you haven’t already done so, you can place an order here.
Alright, y’all. Ideas are cooking. Running and passing. Passing and running. Until the next.
